Welcome back to AuthorHouse Author’s Digest! Last week, we presented some slightly embarrassing (okay, VERY embarrassing) proofreading mistakes. Well, today we’re back with more! As the following examples show, the value of a good proofreader can’t be underestimated.
“Everything,” perhaps… but not eveything!
On the town’s water tower? Maybe no one will notice.
School of WHAT kind of affairs?
And the follow-up…
To be honest, we’d have probably gotten “egregious” wrong too without a spell-checker.
“You’re” vs. “your”… the battle rages on.
Now THAT’S a good deal!!!
Yes, the university bookstore spelled “university” wrong. Ouch.
Hey, at least a concerned citizen corrected it for them.
Why all these mistakes at universities?
And last but far from least:
Yes, the Washington Memorial spelled “future” as “euture.” At least they tried a little white-out, though.
